After School Snack Station

When my kids get home from school they are starving. They act as if they have never eaten a day in their life. That time of day is usually crazy busy. They have places to go and homework to get done. This year I wanted to be one step ahead and make that time of day not so stress for everyone. So, I created an after school snack station that I can hurry and pull out before the kids get in the door.

It's perfect and convenient for them. They can help themselves to a snack and get going with whatever it is they have going on.

I wanted to provide them with things that are easy and can be taken on the go. They have several options.

Dannon® Danimals® which are perfect on the go snack to help fuel the kids for their after school adventures. Right now if you find the "gold bongo" bottle you could win a field day for your kids school with NFL players. Doesn't that sound awesome? You can find out more details here about the Play60 contest going on right now. My kids favorite flavor is the cotton candy/strawberry flavor and it's only available through August in select Walmarts.

I also include a lot of healthy options for them to choose from.

I don't keep this on the counter because it would all be gone in a day. I just store in the cupboard and when I see them coming off the bus I set it out for them.

Just one more little way to make the after school crazies a little easier for the whole family.

Do your kids have a favorite after school snack?

  9. I am seriously IN LOVE with that tiered stand! I really like this idea, too! My kids come home and go STRAIGHT for the pantry. Having something like this on the counter would eliminate the "stand in front of the cupboard staring" syndrome :)

  14. That's super cute and SO functional! My kids have a shelf in the pantry that they know they're "approved" to snack from. Mine also act like they've never been fed before in their lives as soon as they cross the threshold!
