April BirchBox

I told you guys that I wanted to try a new monthly make up subscription service. I decided to try out Birch Box. Its the same price as Ipsy was which is $10 a month. You get 4-5 deluxe sample sizes. What I really like about Birch box is that if you review your products your will earn points that turn into CASH that you can use to buy things off the site. They sell all types of high end beauty products. On Ipsy you on got to redeem your points for products that they had which was usually samples they had left over from previous months.

Lets talk about this DARLING box. Swoon Worthy. So stinking cute. Now for what came in it.

Harvey Prince Perfume - Full Size $55

Perfume samples do not excite me. I for some reason am not a huge perfume fan. I never wear it. 90% off the time when I do I end up with a head ache.

Jane Iredale Lip and Cheek Stain - Full Size $25

I LOVE this. This is one of those lip products that adjust to your skin for a natural, customized shade. Its nice and moisturizing. I wouldn't put it on my cheeks, but for the lips its PERFECT.

Real Chemistry 3-Minute Peel- Full-size $48

I tried this in the shower today and was actually really impressed. You just rub it into your skin and then rinse it off. My skin felt baby bum smooth after.

SuperGoop CC Cream- Full Size- $32

Not really impressed with this. Was way to dark for me, but the coverage wasn't good. I need more coverage.

Temple Spa Face and Body Balm- Full Size $29

This ok. Not great but not horrible.

Over all I wasn't blown away, but there are a few things that I really do like.  For $10 it was worth it. If you are interested in getting signing up for BirchBox you can here.

  1. Love the decorative box this month. I always enjoy when I would receive nail polish products. I do have a few awesome products that I was introduced to through my subscription, and continue to use today.

  2. I love Birchbox - if you are getting samples (like the perfume) that you don't like go in and tweak your beauty profile a bit - I seem to recall there might even be an option for NO perfume samples. I subscribed for a long time and then took about a 6 month break and have just been back for about two months. I love the new designs on the boxes - they used to be just plain brown Kraft (which is also cool) but I am totally digging the patterns and designs. I use them afterwards for little storage boxes or for gift boxes. My daughter gets ipsy so we have fun looking at what each of us gets each month.
