April Birchbox vs Ipsy Review

I know I told you I was going to cancel my Ipsy subscription but... I am so glad I didn't. So this month I thought I would have a battle of the boxes and let you know what I got and what my thoughts are. If you don't know these are monthly subscription services that I pay $10 for and they come with 4-5 deluxe sized samples customized to you by the information you give them. You can sign up for Ipsy Here and Birchbox Here.

This month I decided to pick which box I wanted from the two boxes they had. I choose the Cupcake and Cashmere box. I liked the products better.

In The Box

Harvey Prince Fragrance $26-

I told you last month I am not a huge fan of perfume. So these do not excite me to much, but it  actually smells pretty good.

Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Oil Treatment $40-

LADIES... This is stuff is so good. I have been so nervous to try any oils on my hair. I already have super oily hair and its fine so a lot of product weighs it down. But this is so lightweight and makes my hair look so nice and healthy. It smells fantastic to. This was also a very generous sample size. Since you only need a tiny bit it will last a long time.

Marcelle Hydra-C 25 hydrating Gel $24-

I am not a huge fan of gel moisturizer. I haven't given this a shot yet. So I can't actually tell you what I think of it.

Beauty Protector Body Wash $15.95-

This was just meh... It was just like any other body wash.

Cynthia Rowley Cream Lip Stain $20-

The color was awful. I did wear it around the house and my kids asked me if I had been eating a popsicle. It does stain your lips. I would be interested to try a different color.

Total full sized items = $125.96

The bag this month was super cute.

Urban Decay Revolution High-Color Lipgloss ($22) and 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil ($16)-

I am so excited about the lip pencil its just clear, but it will help your lip gloss stay on and keep from sliding all over the place. The lipgloss was just a tiny on time use sample. But the pencil was a decent size.

Klorane Eye patches $18-

I have never tried eye patches before, but I am pretty excited to. I have some puffy dark eyes most of the time.

It Cosmetics CC Cream $38-

You already know this is my all time favorite foundations. Its so good. I was thrilled to get this in my bag since I just recently ran out. It was a pretty good sample size to. I have been using it for a week already.

Skone Eye Liner Pencil in Navy $15-

I have gotten one of these before in purple and I use it quite a bit. I love the color of this one. Perfect to spice an eye look up without going completely out there.

Total Full size $109

Ipsy for sure won over Birchbox this month. Both had nice things, but Ipsy just had more great things all things I am so excited about. Paying $10 a month and getting a sample big enough to test out these products is a pretty good deal.

I may keep my subscription after all  and do these show downs each month. What do you think? Tell me in a comment.
